Family Law FAQ’s

Is the first appointment really free, and what happens in it?

Yes, genuinely free, no catch. You meet directly with Melanie, not a junior staff member or an automated intake process, and you walk through what’s actually happening in your situation.

In that appointment, you can expect honest, strategic advice about where you stand, what your realistic options are, and roughly what costs might look like if you decide to move forward. There’s no pressure to commit to anything on the spot. The goal is for you to leave with clarity, not a sales pitch.

Many people come into this appointment unsure of even what to ask. That’s completely normal. Bring whatever you have, financial documents, messages, any existing agreements, but don’t feel like you need everything organised perfectly first. We’ll help you work out what’s actually relevant.

If after the appointment you decide you want to move forward with us, great. If you decide you need time to think, or that you want a second opinion, that’s fine too. The appointment exists to give you the information to make a good decision, however you choose to use it.
